Available Lite - Ultraouting

I know that this is going to be news to some of you. I just couldn't wait any longer to start posting pictures. Most of our friends know that Amber is pregnant, but there are a few friends that we still haven’t had the opportunity to tell. It was important for us to tell our friends in person. I apologize in advance if this is the way that you find out, but when something as special as this is going on in your life; you want to share it with the world.

This morning Amber and I had our first ultrasound appointment. Amber decided that she wants to have our baby at the Austin Area Birthing Center. This means that she’s going full steam ahead with a natural child birth with the aid of a midwife. AABC teams up with a local doctor that provides the ultrasound.

Amber signs on the dotted line.

For our viewing pleasure there is a 40" plasma monitor that faces the patient. It's a nice addition for new mommies and daddies. I wanted to stick around and watch the Texas / Colorado game, but they charge extra for that.

It's hard to see but the little person is right there in the middle. You can see the front of its face and the body.

Amber and I (well really me), have decided to wait until its birthday to find out the sex. Amber wants to know so she can decorate, but I want to wait to make the experience as "natural" as we can.

I'm doing something unorthodox and adding a picture that was not taken with my phone. But under the circumstances I thought that everyone might forgive me. Here the little one is lying on its back with its head to the left and body to the right. It was a really humbling experience to see this small child growing inside of Amber's body. The miracle of life is truly amazing.

Available Lite - The Ehlenbachs

Last week I flew to Pennsylvania for an auction. In order for me to get there and back I had a lay over in Chicago. On my way back I was waiting in Gate A9 and looked up to see former Pleasurecraft bass player Mr. John Ehlenbach. John recently got married to his new wife Laurie. John has a home in Chicago and Austin. He and his wife were headed to Austin specifically to see the world famous Band Named Sue! I hadn't seen John in about nine months and the last place that I thought that I would run into him was in Ohare.

Available Lite - Party on the Patio

Our good friends Melanie and Michael Crum got married in September in Mexico. Karen and Lee Mortrud hosted a post nuptial celebration in their back yard. It was a great time with good friends, a frozen margarita machine and fajitas. Michael and Melanie were required to wear these sombreros for the whole night, but you can only expect so much in the Texas heat.

Available Lite - Texas Fight

Every year the Texas Longhorns and the Oklahoma Sooners meet in Dallas Texas at the Cottonbowl for what is referred to as the Dr. Pepper Red River Shoot Out. It is the only Texas and OU regular season game that is played on a neutral sight. The game co-insides with the Texas State Fair, but everyone in town is there to see one of the biggest games in college football. For 5 straight years OU has put a hurt on Texas and kept them from the big show, but this year the Texas Longhorns took it to the house and stayed number 2 in the nation. This year I hosted my second OU weekend party. Last year I hosted the party at my parent’s house, but this year I wanted to celebrate a Texas win on my own couch. We started the day with Mimosas and breakfast Tacos and finished with cold beer, a fried turkey and Tuldy's signature Tortilla soup.

Damak Brings the Horns -
TEXAS FIGHT!
TEXAS FIGHT!
YEAH TEXAS FIGHT!

This is Ella Chennault. Her parents aren't necessarily football fans, but they come for the good times the cold beer and the fried turkey.

This is Marney Mason, one of my best friends. His wife, Kristen and daughter Charlotte came for the big game. I'm not really sure what Marney is doing in this picture, but he looks like he's enjoying a Longhorn Win!

Somehow we procured this cat hat. I think that it belongs to Charlotte. It was fun to wear! Here Mike D. is representing his glee for the Texas Longhorns. Like a mighty Oak!

Even Peanut loves a good rivalry.

Big brother can't get all the attention. Kael represents his Texas colors. Thank goodness Nicole knows how important it is to start them out young!
